On March 14, 2026, Prime Minister Mwigulu Nchemba visited the Sokoine University of (SUA) Mizengo Pinda Campus project in Katavi Region, where he laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new academic building and students’ hostel. The TSh 17.4 billion project, implemented under the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) initiative, is expected to strengthen the university’s capacity in agricultural training, research and innovation while expanding access to quality higher education for communities in western Tanzania.
