The 10th Annual Insurance Conference of the Tanzania Insurance Brokers Association (TIBA) was held in Zanzibar from September 24–25, 2026, bringing together key players from across Tanzania’s insurance industry under the theme “Delivering Value Beyond Policies.”
The two-day conference was graced by the Commissioner of Insurance, Dr Baghayo Saqware, who challenged TIBA and the wider insurance industry to align their work with the aspirations of Dira 2050, while making insurance more inclusive, accessible and beneficial to Tanzanians. The forum brought together insurance brokers, insurers, regulators, government representatives, professional advisers and other industry stakeholders to discuss the future of insurance and the sector’s contribution to Tanzania’s economic development, with particular focus on customer value, professional brokerage, risk management, claims, innovation and market development.
