On October 28, 2026, Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) Managing Director Michelle Kilpin and Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) Director General CPA Anthony Kasore signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Dar es Salaam to launch the Ujuzi-Kwanza Scholarship Programme. The three-year partnership will equip 300 young Tanzanians from low-income households with practical skills in agricultural production, equipment maintenance and agro-mechanics. By combining industry-funded training with VETA-accredited qualifications and hands-on experience, the initiative aims to expand youth employment and agribusiness entrepreneurship while addressing skills gaps in Tanzania’s agricultural value chains. It also underscores the role of private-sector investment in vocational training as a means of linking skills development to labour-market needs and economic opportunity.
