From the corridors of Parliament to the football pitch, the countdown to AFCON PAMOJA 2027 is already inspiring a spirit of teamwork. That message took centre stage in Dodoma over the weekend during this year’s Parliament-NMB Sports Bonanza, where Parliament pledged to work closely with the Government and other stakeholders to help make Tanzania’s hosting of the continental football showpiece a success.
Deputy Speaker Daniel Sillo said Parliament was ready to support preparations for AFCON PAMOJA 2027, as the bonanza brought together MPs, government officials, public entities workers and NMB Bank staff in a celebration of sport, teamwork and institutional collaboration. Beyond the competition, the event promoted physical fitness and healthier lifestyles, including greater awareness of the fight against non-communicable diseases. NMB Retail Banking Chief Filbert Mponzi said the bank wants sports to become part of the culture of work and service, reinforcing its commitment to initiatives that promote wellbeing, teamwork and national development.
