This pictorial highlights the inspection tour of the Mzumbe University Tanga Campus construction site in Mkinga District by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Sports and Culture on March 13, 2026. The delegation, led by Chairperson Husna Sekiboko, was briefed by Vice-Chancellor William Mwegoha on the progress of the project, which is on track for completion this May. Also present, the Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Adolf Mkenda, noted that the project forms part of the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) initiative aimed at strengthening higher education institutions and accelerating economic transformation through expanded access to quality education, research, and innovation.
