In a strategic move to strengthen Tanzania’s global trade footprint, the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TanzaniaInvest.com, one of the country’s leading business and investment portals.

The partnership aims to enhance the visibility of Tanzania’s trade and investment opportunities among international investors and businesses.

The MoU was signed at TanTrade’s headquarters in Dar es Salaam by Latifa Khamis, Director General of TanTrade, and Eric Tirabassi, Chief Editor of TanzaniaInvest.com. Under the agreement, TanzaniaInvest will feature TanTrade across its widely accessed digital platform, which reaches thousands of prospective investors and entrepreneurs each month, both locally and globally.

“Partnering with TanzaniaInvest.com allows TanTrade to broaden its visibility and reach targeted global audiences seeking to engage in trade and investment with Tanzania,” said Ms. Khamis. “This collaboration supports our ongoing efforts to position Tanzania’s products, services, and opportunities in both regional and international markets.”

As part of the initiative, TanzaniaInvest.com has published an exclusive interview with Ms. Khamis, offering insights into TanTrade’s strategic vision and ongoing programmes aimed at making Tanzanian goods and services more competitive on the global stage.

The portal also provides direct access to TanTrade’s resources, helping users better understand how to navigate the country’s trade environment.

“We are proud to support TanTrade’s mission by offering a platform that connects global audiences to Tanzania’s trade landscape,” said Mr. Tirabassi. “This collaboration is about giving substance to the country’s trade narrative with credible and accessible information.”

The agreement includes the exchange of trade-related content, promotional materials, and updates between the two parties, with the goal of enhancing outreach and increasing foreign investor engagement.

It comes at a time when Tanzania is intensifying efforts to diversify its economy and promote exports beyond traditional markets.
