Dodoma. Parliament on Saturday conferred a special honorary award on President Samia Suluhu Hassan, recognising her exemplary leadership in promoting inclusive development and national progress.
The award was presented in the national capital of Dodoma by Speaker of Parliament Tulia Ackson, who praised Dr Samia for her transformative leadership, according to a statement by the Directorate of Presidential Communications.
Speaker Ackson said the award bestowed on behalf of all the members of parliament, symbolised their collective recognition and respect for the president’s achievements.
In her acceptance speech, the head of state expressed gratitude to the parliament for its support and oversight role, particularly through budget deliberations and legislative actions.
