Stanbic sparks dialogue on strategic wealth management in Tanzania

Stanbic Bank Tanzania last week hosted a high-level Wealth Management Breakfast in Dar es Salaam, convening current and prospective high net worth clients for a morning of insight, connection, and strategy.

Held under the theme “Creating, Preserving and Transferring Wealth”, the event underscored the bank’s long-term commitment to supporting wealth growth and legacy building for individuals, families, and businesses in Tanzania.

The programme featured two substantive sessions that engaged Tanzania’s business community. The first session titled; Strategic Financial Planning, was led by Elibariki Ndossi, Head of Investment Banking at Stanbic Bank.

He delivered a data-driven presentation on long-term financial growth, exploring practical strategies such as portfolio diversification, active liquidity planning, and intergenerational scaling – key tools for growing and sustaining wealth.

The second session, Legacy by Design – Structuring Wealth for Generational Continuity, was facilitated by Amish Shah, Partner at ARS Law & Advisories.

His session addressed succession planning, estate structuring, and the role of family governance, emphasizing that preserving wealth involves not only legal frameworks but also the transmission of shared values and vision across generations.

Hosted at the Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam, the breakfast was part of Stanbic’s broader Wealth Speaker Series and brought together leaders in finance, law, and investment.

It offered participants a rare opportunity for peer learning, strategic conversation, and exposure to global wealth management perspectives.

During the event, Stanbic Bank’s Head of Private Banking, Shangwe Kisanji, highlighted the importance of personalizing financial services.

“As Tanzania’s third largest bank, our role is not only to manage funds but also to support the life ambitions of our clients – from starting businesses to building legacies that outlast them,” said Ms Kisanji. “As the financial landscape grows more complex, so do our clients’ aspirations. We must meet them with both empathy and expertise.”

In the closing address, Mr Manzi Rwegasira, Chief Executive of Stanbic Bank Tanzania, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to building lasting client relationships.

“Wealth is not just a number. It is about responsibility, opportunity, and vision,” said Mr. Rwegasira. “As we mark 30 years of service in Tanzania, this event reflects the trust our clients place in us and our dedication to walking with them through every stage of their journey.”

Beyond the presentations, the breakfast served as a discreet networking forum where guests connected with Stanbic’s international wealth teams and local specialists.

The event served as a platform to connect Tanzania’s leading entrepreneurs, family business owners and investment professionals with global perspectives offered by Stanbic’s international wealth teams. Stanbic Bank remains committed to building meaningful financial partnerships that support long-term wealth generation and national prosperity.
