On October 8, 2026, Tanzania took its investment drive to London, seeking to attract foreign capital to accelerate industrialisation, expand domestic processing of natural resources and create jobs for its growing young population.
The Tanzania Investment Forum 2026 brought together senior government officials, financial institutions, prospective investors and private-sector representatives to explore investment opportunities across key economic sectors. The high-level gathering was graced by Prime Minister Dr Mwigulu Nchemba.
The forum was convened by the Tanzania High Commission in the United Kingdom, co-organised by NMB Bank and delivered in partnership with Invest Africa.
Government representatives included Finance Minister Ambassador Khamis Mussa Omar; Planning and Investment Minister Prof. Kitila Mkumbo; Minerals Minister Anthony Mavunde; and Communication and Information Technology Minister Angellah Kairuki. Also in attendance were Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) Director General Gilead Teri and Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) Director General Ephraim Balozi Mafuru.
The financial-sector delegation included NMB Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Ruth Zaipuna and CRDB Bank Chief Executive Officer Abdulmajid Nsekela, alongside representatives of development finance institutions and international investors. The forum provided a platform to connect international capital with investment opportunities in Tanzania, particularly in sectors with potential to deepen value addition, strengthen productive capacity and support sustainable economic growth.
