The Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups, Dr John Jingu, has called on public servants to uphold professional ethics, including maintaining the confidentiality of public service information in the execution of their duties.

Dr. Jingu made these remarks today, 6 June 2025, in Dodoma while addressing newly appointed staff assigned to work in the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups.

“I congratulate you for being entrusted with this noble responsibility. Go forth and serve with diligence, guided by the ethics of public service. Adhere to the laws and regulations in place, which clearly define what is acceptable and what is not,” said Dr Jingu.

He further emphasised the importance of discretion when handling public information, noting that his office remains open to all staff with ideas aimed at improving service delivery to the community.

Additionally, Dr Jingu highlighted that the Sixth Phase Government, under the leadership of President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, has created an enabling environment for public servants, including access to financial opportunities through various institutions, and encouraged the new employees to make the most of these provisions.
